Managing Growth Milestones: Because an Employee Is a Seed, not a Stone

Congratulations, HR!  You’ve hired well. The paperwork’s in order. Your new employee’s met the team. They understand the expectations of their job and where to find the tools they need to meet them.
Your job here is done.  Right?

Well, no. Today’s workplace is not a fixed environment. Today’s jobs involve more than doing the same thing the same way with the same results until it’s time to retire. Today’s human relations expert needs to master the fine art of developing talent in an evolving work environment. The human being you took such pains to find and sign in the first place has started to put down roots in the company. The next steps—for you and them—are all about growth and development.

You need to empower and facilitate.
They need to grow.
If you think this sounds a bit daunting, you’re absolutely right.

That’s why the Clerbo team keeps on innovating with the whole employee lifecycle in mind. That’s why the application our team built to help companies find and onboard the best new talent efficiently has grown into one that promotes growth and empowerment for all the members of your team, for as long as they’re part of your company. As it turns out, Clerbo’s always-available, easy-to-use talent acquisition interface works like a charm to promote learning and to measure employee milestones once they’ve joined your team.

At the risk of sounding too poetic, a garden needs watering in order to grow.
Working with team leaders—the subject matter experts, as it were—HR can oversee a growth plan made up of specific lessons with measurable goals to drive employee development for as long as they’re part of your company. Using Clerbo, employees can identify and engage with activities that not only grow their skills, talents, and knowledge but can test and verify mastery of the material they need to know in order to advance within the company.  From both HR’s and the employee’s point of view, Clerbo is not a tool for spoon-feeding information but an effective toolset for self-empowerment.

It’s like a license to learn

With Clerbo, learning isn’t place- and time-based the way a real-time, onsite course would be. Using it, the employee who’s motivated to advance can pursue knowledge acquisition and advancement in the way that fits best with the demands of their work and personal lives. They can consume the content at their own speed on their own schedule. They can use Clerbo’s built-in tools to measure their mastery of the subject matter. If something’s less than clear, they can repeat the lesson as many times as needed until the right answers come as easy as drawing breath. Using the same test interface, they can make sure their mastery of the material is sticking over time.

Using Clerbo, in-house subject matter experts work with the HR team to develop the right content in the right way to ensure that the employee who wants to learn has all the right tools to learn the material necessary for advancement. Proof of learning comes through self-administered, Clerbo-scored quizzes.

The motivation interface

For the employee as well as for the HR team, Clerbo is always on, always available to meet and teach and test online. Whether the user prefers their laptop or smartphone screen for content delivery, the Clerbo interface was designed to make understanding and achieving milestones clear and easy. It soon becomes familiar. In the case of learning, familiarity doesn’t breed contempt but competence, a tool that waters the garden and helps the flowers grow.

For flowers, think employees.
For garden, think company.
For food and water, think Clerbo to help them grow.

Karel Mareš, Business Intelligence Engineer – Frontend:

"When implementing the Power BI reporting tool in our company, we faced daily questions like: 'Why can’t I see data about product XY on the report?' or 'How can I get the data for period YZ?'

That’s why we used Clerbo for user education and put together a training course that contained a video accompanied by demanding questions to see whether the user understood the tool. Now, we are able to route the majority of employees’ questions to Clerbo and we are happy that:

  • We saved time
  • We know that the user gets a complex answer
  • Users give us feedback through Clerbo
  • We can track who passed the training"
